Stress Audit

Motivated and confident stress-free employees and managers are the best assets of a prosperous enterprise. A communication from the British Psychological Society indicates that the way team leadership is conducted can play a decisive role on the morale of the workforce.

Effective leadership will have a stress reduction effect, while on the other hand ineffective, permissive leadership can lead to increased depression among employees.

External factors, competition, deadlines, frustrations can also trigger a lowering of morale and engender, in a vicious circle, a lack of motivation and absenteeism.

This situation can have very dangerous consequences for an enterprise, in which case it is time to look for help and consider a stress audit. This will show employees that the company cares about them and boost morale. It will also have a positive impact in improving loyalty and commitment.

The stress audit will be conducted using an anonymous, valid and standardised questionnaire. Change will come when the management is committed to giving careful consideration to the issues raised in the audit.

A stress audit will aim to:

  • identify the sources of organisational stress in the workplace

  • look at the most appropriate and efficient solutions to generate change

  • assess the current situation level and understand the type of stress

  • reveal the behaviours generating stress

  • establish which groups of employees are most at risk

  • evaluate the severity of the risk both for employees and for enterprise

Use best practice to reduce the level of exposure:

  • Assertiveness Training

  • Time Management

  • Decision Making

  • Social Support

  • Problem Solving

  • Conflict Resolution

  • Social Engineering
